THE FIRST INDUCTION OF THE CAOMHNÓIRÍ
A Historic Night for the Hounds of Alastor

6th Day of December, the Year of Our Source 2025
In the Hound’s ritual room at Veil’s Crossing, under the thrum of blue fire and the watchful stone of the old Hounds, the Harbingers of Blood witnessed a moment that will be spoken of for years to come. The Hounds of Alastor held their first formal induction ceremony, marking a decisive step in the evolution of their order and establishing the rites that will shape every warrior who follows.6th
The ceremony opened beneath the hand of Priestess Pandi Silverpaw, who summoned the chamber to wake with words drawn from ancient devotion to Sutekh. Her invocation carried through the torches, stirring the blue flame along the suspended blade until it rose in quiet, potent radiance. The chamber itself seemed to listen.
Ivor Dragonheart knelt in the center of the circle, surrounded by the Caomhnóirí. Kitty, Lead Instructor of the Hounds, stepped forward first. Her address was not gentle, nor was it meant to be. She spoke with the authority of one who had broken and reforged warriors many times over. She named him tempered, shaped, and already proven in the fires that define their order. She made clear that the ceremony was not a test, but a revelation of a truth already earned.
Then the Blood Regent entered.
Morrigan Alastor Braveheart, Hand of Despair, stepped into the blue-lit circle with the calm ferocity that has made her one of the most feared and respected warriors in the realm. Her words were simple, lethal, and absolute. She did not name him a prospect. She named him claimed.
Under her guidance, the ritual deepened. Ivor gave his blood to the flame, and the flame answered, curling around him in silent acceptance. Morrigan marked his right cheek with the blood, binding him as warrior to Regent. Kitty marked the left, sealing his place in the Instructor’s line.
Then came the vows.
Word for word, vow for vow, Ivor spoke the oath that now binds him to Hunt, bloodline, and blade. He accepted the consequence of betrayal without hesitation, meeting the Regent’s eyes as he did so. Few moments in Harbinger ritual carry more weight than that acknowledgment, and tonight it struck true.
The sword, blazing with Sutekh’s breath, rested across his shoulders. Morrigan named him Caomhnóir.
When the blade lifted, the chamber erupted in howls. Not the undisciplined cries of revelers, but the ancient chorus of a warband recognizing its own. Ivor rose into that sound, blood still vivid on his cheeks, standing as the first warrior ever inducted under the restored rites of the Hounds of Alastor.
Priestess Silverpaw closed the ceremony with a final blessing, sealing the ritual as the torches flared brilliantly and then fell back to steady flame.
History was made tonight.
What began as a kernel of discipline under the Eye of Alastor has now been formalized into a fully realized rite of passage. The Hounds have claimed their initiation ceremony, their oath, their structure, and their first forged guardian.
Ivor Dragonheart walked into the chamber as a warrior in training.
He walked out as Caomhnóir.
And this is only the beginning.
