Forged by Flame

Forged by Flame

A lost soul wandered—
searching, praying
for somewhere safe.

Often overlooked,
labeled a problem,
a headache,
a waste.

The soul slowly withered.
A once fiery flame
burned low,
flickering in the dark.

But the fates were not finished.

Slowly, pieces were added.

First came a woman—
gentle, welcoming—
who gave me the title of daughter.
She looked at me and saw
not what had been done to me,
but the person inside
waiting for the moment to rise.

Then came another—
a woman whose gentleness and care
had long been disregarded.
From her I found acceptance.
And she gave me the titles
of partner,
lover,
friend.

The next came unexpectedly—
from someone I once believed
had cast me aside.
Yet I learned
they welcomed my presence.

Through them
I became a Harbinger.

And in the shadows
he stood waiting for the moment to appear.
Through a road I never imagined walking,
I was honored with a title
I never thought would be mine—

Priestess of Sutekh.

Within this role
I have grown.
I have found parts of myself
long buried,
thought dead.

But the flame burns again—
brighter than ever.

And I give thanks.

Though only a few
stand clearly in these words,
many have forged my path—
some with gentle hands,
others with deceit and lies.

Yet for all of it
I am grateful.

Because in the end
I found my home.

And I found myself.

Be it Daughter,
Partner,
Harbinger,
or Priestess—

I know now
I have found my place.

And as I continue to grow,
to strengthen,
to rise—

I cannot wait to see
what awaits me
and my growing family
